Job description

We’re seeking an experienced accounting systems consultant to lead a full migration from Sage to QuickBooks for a business in Wauconda, IL. This is a project-based engagement covering data mapping, conversion, and post-migration validation.”, * Audit and assess existing Sage data (chart of accounts, customers/vendors, open invoices, inventory, payroll history)

  • Map Sage data fields to QuickBooks equivalents
  • Execute data conversion (customers, vendors, transactions, AR/AP balances, chart of accounts)
  • Reconcile converted data against source Sage reports (trial balance, P&L, balance sheet, AR/AP aging)
  • Configure QuickBooks settings (sales tax, inventory, users/permissions, bank feeds)
  • Provide staff training on the new QuickBooks environment
  • Deliver a written reconciliation/validation report confirming data accuracy
  • Troubleshoot discrepancies and resolve data integrity issues post-migration

Requirements

  • Proven experience migrating Sage (50/100/Quantum) to QuickBooks (Online or Desktop)
  • QuickBooks ProAdvisor certification (strongly preferred/required - specify which)
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statement structure
  • Experience with data mapping/CSV import tools or migration software

Qualifications (Preferred):

  • CPA or bookkeeping credential
  • Familiarity with multi-currency, payroll history migration, or inventory conversion

Benefits & conditions

$35 - $45 an hour - Contract
