Job description

Job Summary of the Plant Engineer: Lead the maintenance and engineering department in a fast-paced plant, ensuring top-tier building and equipment performance to achieve peak efficiency in production lines. Develop and execute cutting-edge maintenance systems like Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, TPM, and more to drive the plant to new heights within a High-Performing Manufacturing Organization. Oversee engineering activities for state-of-the-art food manufacturing processes and innovative technology projects. Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Plant Engineer:

  • Manage capital projects from concept to completion, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and delivering projects on time, budget, and safety standards.

  • Develop and implement advanced maintenance systems for optimal plant performance, including Preventive and Predictive Maintenance, TPM, and other strategies.

  • Manage maintenance team tasks, policies, and assignments to ensure efficient and safe completion of work.

  • Provide solutions for operational challenges, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth daily plant operations.

  • Drive continuous improvement by developing and monitoring Key Performance Indicators across all plant areas.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field and 8+ years of experience or equivalent.

  • 2+ years of team management or project leadership experience required.

  • Strong leadership, planning, teamwork, analytical, and adaptability skills.

  • Advanced technical skills in mechanical/electrical fields and resource planning.

  • Proficiency in maintenance systems, work orders, and preventive/predictive maintenance.

  • Experience with equipment monitoring and communication of results.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.

  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
