Job description

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator with strong scripting and SQL performance-tuning skills. The primary focus of this role will be Oracle database administration, performance tuning, automation, and supporting large-scale database environments., * Administer and support hundreds of Oracle database environments.

  • Support Oracle RDBMS, ASM, RAC, and related infrastructure.
  • Monitor databases using Oracle Enterprise Manager and other monitoring tools.
  • Analyze SQL execution plans, SQL traces, indexing strategies, and performance issues.
  • Perform database performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Perform database patching, upgrades, migrations, cloning, backup, and recovery.
  • Develop automation using Korn Shell/Shell scripting, Python, SQL, and PL/SQL.
  • Configure and support Oracle GoldenGate replication.
  • Support Oracle Exadata environments.
  • Assist with database architecture and cloud migration initiatives.
  • Support On-Prem and Cloud database environments.
  • Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Maintain database administration standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and client-facing teams., We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux / Database Administrator to support large-scale enterprise infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL), automation, high availability, storage, virtualization, and SRE experience., * Administer, monitor, and performance-tune Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) environments.
  • Design, build, and manage Linux servers, storage, virtualization, and infrastructure.
  • Manage high availability, clustering, and load-balanced environments.
  • Perform capacity planning, performance optimization, and scalability initiatives.
  • Implement SRE practices including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
  • Automate provisioning, configuration, patching, and deployment using Ansible.
  • Develop self-healing and automated infrastructure solutions.
  • Manage LVM, NFS, automount, and distributed file systems.
  • Administer DNS, NTP, LDAP/Kerberos, SMTP, and OpenSSH.
  • Troubleshoot TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and RPC-related issues.
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions.
  • Lead incident response, RCA, and postmortem activities.
  • Perform OS patching, upgrades, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening.
  • Develop scripts using Bash and/or Python.
  • Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, application, security, and infrastructure teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
  • Strong Oracle 19c experience.
  • Strong ASM and RAC experience.
  • Strong SQL and PL/SQL skills.
  • Strong SQL performance-tuning experience.
  • Experience analyzing execution plans and SQL traces.
  • Strong Korn Shell/Shell scripting experience.
  • Strong Linux fundamentals.
  • Experience with database backup and recovery.
  • Strong troubleshooting and RCA skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to support rotating on-call and after-hours production support.
