Network Engineer

Experteer Overview As a Network Engineer at Viridien you design, deploy and maintain secure, resilient networks for HPC data centers, enterprise security and global WANs across international sites. You will work with cross-functional teams to plan changes, troubleshoot issues and automate repeatable tasks. The role emphasizes observability, documentation and mentorship, within a culture focused on sustainable, scalable infrastructure. This is a hands-on position with global impact and opportunities to shape network strategy. Compensation / Benefits * Support deployment, troubleshooting and maintenance of network infrastructure across HPC data center and enterprise environments * Support SOPs for cloud and on-premises network infrastructure * Plan and manage changes to ensure smooth production operations * Deploy and support solutions to mitigate vulnerabilities and automate tasks * Develop and maintain network monitoring and telemetry for improved observability * Coach and mentor junior engineers * Collaborate with cross-functional teams on network technologies and recommendations * Document network designs, standards and IP addressing * Travel domestically or internationally as required * Participate in on-call rotation and occasional out-of-hours maintenance Tasks * 5+ years’ experience installing and supporting network systems for global companies * Hands-on with data center fabric architectures (spine-leaf), BGP EVPN/VXLAN, and layer 3 underlay * Experience deploying and supporting network security platforms (next-generation firewalls, IPS/IDS) * Experience with data center operations management * Experience with network monitoring, telemetry and alerting systems * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure * Ability to produce clear and thorough technical documentation Key requirements *
