Job description

We are seeking a Software Tester with experience testing .NET and Cloud-Native Applications. This role will support software testing, quality assurance, application implementation, and post-production support activities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing testing strategies, test plans, test cases, and system testing documentation for .NET applications, along with experience using Azure DevOps in support of testing and iterative development., * Design and perform system analysis, recommend application solutions, test and correct programs, and assist IT staff with documentation.

Support user acceptance testing.
Perform software implementation activities, including source control and deployment activities.
Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of IT quality assurance standards and testing.
Assist in developing and documenting appropriate standards and criteria for programming and systems development lifecycle activities.
Develop software testing and automation procedures and perform analysis and design.
Work with business personnel to identify and document system software requirements.
Define problems and develop potential solutions.
Provide post-production support for business applications, including routine maintenance, enhancements, and troubleshooting of software production errors.
Assist IT staff with reviewing software development methodologies, identifying alternate courses of action, completing software security scans, and reporting vulnerabilities.
Assist with performance testing and benchmarking of software application response times, including analysis and reporting of performance measures.
Communicate and collaborate proactively with peers, technical staff, and business personnel.
Lead discussions or meetings with technical and nontechnical personnel on simple to moderate technical topics supporting software development.
Provide technical information, recommendations, and conclusions in support of software development and decision-making.
Gather, interpret, and apply information from various sources to support software development activities.
Provide informal mentorship and technical guidance to peers and/or lower-level staff.
Use Azure DevOps for documentation, iterative development collaboration, task management, system testing, and reporting.
Apply Agile, Iterative, and Traditional Software Development SDLC practices and standards as they relate to testing activities.

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a Software Tester specifically for .NET and Cloud-Native Applications.
Demonstrated ability and experience independently developing .NET testing strategies, test plans, test cases, and proper system testing documentation for new .NET applications.
Basic understanding of Agile, Iterative, and Traditional Software Development SDLC practices and standards as they relate to testing activities.
Understanding and experience using Azure DevOps for documentation, iterative development collaboration, task management, and functions related to system testing and reporting.
