Join a pioneering photonics and space technology company - Oxfordshire, Hybrid Working ModelThis innovative deep-tech company is developing advanced laser communication and sensing technologies for next-generation aerospace and space applications. The team are now looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to support the development of software across a range of cutting-edge systems, working at the intersection of embedded software, automation and advanced hardware.

Requirements

You’ll join a growing engineering team working across multiple projects, developing software for microcontroller-based systems, embedded Linux platforms and FPGA-connected hardware. For this Embedded Software Engineer role, we are looking for someone with: Commercial experience developing embedded software in C/C++ Experience working with microcontrollers and embedded systems Proficiency in Python for scripting, automation or testing Experience with Git version control and modern software development practices Understanding of unit testing and CI/CD workflows Familiarity with Linux development environments and command-line tools Ideally, experience working with FPGA-based systems or software that interfaces with hardware platforms
