You are open to feedback on your code and open to learn from peers. And last but not least: Finding solutions to new challenges

Working environment

At ABN AMRO, we strive to be a personal bank in a digital age. That strategy is also brought to life in how we work ourselves. Hence, we offer a hybrid way of working. This offers you the flexibility to decide when and where you work most comfortably and effectively. Of course, we offer you the right resources you need in order to set up a good home office. For example, an ergonomic chair, desk and laptop.

You will be part of the CIF1 scrum team. The objective of Customer Identity Foundation Services (CIF1) is to handle customer authorization requests regardless of the origin of the authorization decisions and data. CIF1 team aims to be the single point of contact for authorization requests within ABN AMRO’s online channels. It acts as an authorization broker between business applications and different authorization sources within ABN AMRO., * An attractive gross monthly salary based on a 36-hour work week, including holiday allowance and a flexible benefit budget.

  • An excellent pension scheme, ensuring that you are well prepared for the future.
  • Flexibility in working: working from home is possible in consultation with your team and depending on your role. We will provide an ergonomic home office setup for you.
  • Plenty of room for relaxation with five weeks of vacation per year, supplemented by two mandatory days off. You can also purchase up to four additional weeks of vacation annually.
  • Five “Banking for better days”: extra days off that you can use for personal development or volunteer work.
  • Personal development is key: you receive a development budget of €1,000 per year, which can accumulate up to €3,000.
  • An annual public transport pass with free public transportation throughout the Netherlands for both business and private use.

Requirements

You feel at home in a technical environment and are always up to date on the latest technologies. You love working on (Java) technologies to find the best IT solutions. You describe yourself as open and you give and accept direct feedback. You have a focus on quality and challenge your colleagues (e.g. during peer reviews). You speak up and challenge decisions (you ask why things are done instead of just doing them). Do you think you’re a fit? Check your profile. You must have:

  • At least 5+ years of developing software in Java preferably with Java 17;
  • At least 3+ years of proven experience in developing microservices;
  • Hands-on experience in working with Spring and/or Spring Boot and some of these frameworks: JPA, Hibernate, JDBC, consuming SOAP services and Rest APIs.
