Head of Data and Performance (Permanent, Full Time, £57,439.40 - 61576.81 per annum)

BCHA is looking for a forward-thinking Head of Data and Performance to lead how we use data and insight to improve our organisation and the lives of the people we support.

As a charity and housing provider, good data matters. It helps us understand our customers, improve services, manage risk, meet our regulatory responsibilities and make the best use of our resources.

You will lead the development and delivery of BCHA’s data strategy, ensuring data is treated as a valuable organisational asset. You will oversee data governance, analytics, reporting and performance, making sure colleagues have access to information they can trust and use.

A key part of the role will be building a stronger data culture across BCHA. You will work with colleagues at all levels to turn data into useful insight, support evidence-based decisions and identify opportunities to improve how we work., * Develop and deliver BCHA’s data strategy, ensuring it supports our mission, priorities and long-term plans.

• Lead the development of a strong data and performance culture across BCHA.
• Ensure data and insight are used to improve customer experience, service quality, organisational performance and decision-making.
• Lead and improve BCHA’s data governance framework, including policies, standards, ownership, stewardship and data quality.
• Ensure our data is accurate, secure, accessible and fit for purpose.
• Oversee data architecture, engineering, analytics and reporting to meet organisational needs.
• Ensure compliance with GDPR, data protection legislation and relevant regulatory, audit and information governance requirements.
• Develop meaningful performance measures that demonstrate progress, highlight areas for improvement and support accountability.
• Work with colleagues across BCHA to understand their information needs and turn data into practical insight.
• Identify opportunities to use technology, data and insight to improve services and make better use of our resources.
• Build confidence and capability across BCHA in using data effectively.Lead, motivate and develop the data and performance team, creating a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.

Degree (or equivalent) in subject relevantto the role Strong knowledge of UK GDPR, data protection legislation, cyber security principles and information governance. Knowledge of responsible AI governance and automation technologies. Self-motivated with a can-do attitude and ability to thrive in a diverse and ever-changing work environment Line Management: coaching, supporting and ensuring team delivery Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills, with experience leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering organisational change. Champion positive change for customers by using data and insight to identify opportunities, influence decisions and deliver meaningful improvements. Enthusiastic and motivational approach to helping people achieve their potential Excellent attention to detail
