Test Analyst

Test Analysts play a crucial role in ensuring software quality and reliability through comprehensive testing and validation. This contract opportunity in Birmingham offers the chance to deliver rigorous QA across dynamic projects, working with modern testing methodologies and contributing directly to product excellence., * Executing manual and automated test cases across assigned modules and features

• Documenting test results, defects and issues in a clear, traceable format
• Collaborating with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and validate fixes
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of test plans and test documentation
• Identifying, prioritizing and reporting software defects with sufficient detail for reproduction
• Participating in quality assurance reviews and continuous improvement of testing processes
• Supporting regression testing and end-to-end validation cycles

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven experience in software testing, test execution or quality assurance
• Familiarity with test management tools, defect tracking systems and testing methodologies
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings clearly and concisely
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing best practices
• Ability to work collaboratively within technical teams
• Good communication skills and ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical stakeholders
