- Work across complex programs involving risk reporting, data, trading platforms, financial instruments, and regulatory requirements
How You Will Make An Impact
- Lead delivery of complex risk and regulatory technology initiatives from requirements definition through implementation and post-production support.
- Partner with business users to gather, analyze, and document requirements and translate business objectives into clear functional and technology requirements.
- Coordinate delivery across developers, QA teams, subject-matter experts, business stakeholders, and senior management across multiple locations.
- Perform root-cause, gap, current-state, and future-state analysis to identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Manage project scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, issues, action plans, and stakeholder communications across concurrent initiatives.
- Oversee user acceptance testing, implementation readiness, training, change-management activities, and rollout support.
- Evaluate existing business and technology processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, controls, data quality, and reporting.
- Present project status, risks, decisions, and remediation plans clearly to senior management.
- Bridge highly technical, financial, and regulatory topics for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience within large financial institutions, preferably commercial or investment banking environments.
- Demonstrated experience delivering risk and regulatory technology initiatives, including programs involving requirements, implementation, reporting, and supporting documentation.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks or initiatives such as CCAR, FRTB, or comparable banking regulations.
- Strong understanding of Credit Risk, financial instruments, market data, trading systems, risk reporting, and risk-governance processes.
- Proven ability to operate as both a senior project leader and a hands-on business-facing technology partner.
- Experience managing projects through Waterfall and Agile delivery models.
- Strong working knowledge of tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, ServiceNow, Visio, and Excel.
- Proficiency with SQL for data investigation and analysis.
- Exposure to Databricks is preferred.
- Understanding of financial operations, management information systems, data-management processes, and regulatory reporting.
- Strong analytical, root-cause-analysis, problem-solving, prioritization, and follow-through capabilities.
- Ability to manage several complex initiatives simultaneously with limited supervision.
- Strong executive communication, relationship management, leadership, emotional intelligence, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
