Job description

Land & Sea Resources are recruiting on behalf of Spirit Energy for an experienced IT Lead to oversee the delivery, performance and governance of the IT estate at the Barrow-in-Furness Gas Terminal.

Working Pattern

The role is hybrid, with 4 days based at the Barrow-in-Furness Gas Terminal and 1 day working from home.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are mandatory office days, with the option to work from home on either Monday or Friday.

The Role

The IT Lead will be responsible for the overall management and performance of IT infrastructure and services, including networks, telephone systems, end-user computing, Microsoft services and outsourced support.

Working closely with the Head of IS and IS Apps Lead, you will provide technical and commercial oversight, manage third-party suppliers and ensure IT services remain secure, resilient and fit for purpose.

The role will focus on IT governance, cyber security, service management, vendor management and project delivery, while also providing hands-on direction to outsourced resources and supporting day-to-day IT operations., * Oversee IT infrastructure, networks, telephone systems and end-user services.

  • Manage third-party IT suppliers, contracts and commercial agreements.
  • Lead IT projects, upgrades and change activities.
  • Oversee cyber security, vulnerability management and security testing.
  • Manage major IT incidents and support cyber incident response.
  • Develop and test disaster recovery arrangements.
  • Manage IT licensing, renewals and service documentation.
  • Support IT audits, assurance activities and compliance.
  • Oversee outsourced IT support teams and service performance.
  • Ensure IT services remain secure, resilient and fit for purpose.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have strong experience across IT infrastructure, networks, telephone systems and end-user computing, ideally within a multi-site organisation.

You will also have experience in IT service management, supplier and contract management, cyber security, disaster recovery and project delivery.

A good understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, PowerApps and Power BI, alongside knowledge of IT controls and cyber security practices, is required.

A Bachelor’s Degree in an IT or business discipline, or equivalent experience, is required.
