Java Backend Developer

Backend Java with Kafka

• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot (2.7 or higher) and Spring Security (5.x preferred), and an understanding of Oauth and JWT
• Understanding of MyBatis, JDBC and SQL
• Experience working with and being able to deploy applications to Tomcat
• Working knowledge of Maven and Docker
• Understanding of Kafka platform, including event streaming, topic creation and configuration, and Spring Boot integration with Kafka
• Hands on experience writing custom producers and consumers using Java and Spring Boot
• Preferred hands on experience with Confluent Cloud
• Understanding of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with test-driven development
• Preferred: Hands on experience with developing CI pipelines using Gitlab CI, and deployments using Helm, Cloud Computing, Docker, JDBC (Java Database Connectivity), Java, Maven, Microsoft Windows Azure, MyBatis (fka iBATIS), OAuth, Retail, SQL (Structured Query Language), Software Engineering, Test Driven Development (TDD), Tomcat
