Cloud Computing Cyber Security Data Governance Information Leak Prevention Performance Tuning Data Classification Palo Alto Networks

Job description

Our client is seeking a highly technical, hands-on Senior Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Consultant to lead the design, implementation, and operationalization of an enterprise-wide DLP program. This is not a governance-only or advisory role, the selected consultant will be responsible for building DLP capabilities from the ground up, configuring and deploying controls, partnering with security stakeholders, and establishing repeatable processes that can serve as a model for future organizational adoption.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise implementing DLP technologies across Microsoft Purview, Netskope, and Palo Alto environments and can translate security requirements into operational controls. This individual will work closely with security engineers, project managers, business analysts, and leadership teams to develop policies, implement controls, create documentation, and transfer knowledge to internal teams.

This engagement is focused on delivering measurable outcomes and establishing a sustainable DLP program aligned with NIST standards in a government environment.

  • Configure and manage Microsoft Purview DLP policies.
  • Implement and tune Netskope DLP capabilities.
  • Integrate and optimize DLP controls within Palo Alto security platforms.
  • Participate in project planning and stakeholder meetings.
  • Review data classification requirements and ensure proper policy alignment.
  • Conduct policy testing, validation, and remediation activities.
  • Investigate implementation issues and coordinate resolution efforts.
  • Create and update technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with security engineers to operationalize DLP controls.
  • Deliver regular status updates, milestones, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Provide hands-on coaching and knowledge transfer to internal teams throughout the engagement.
