Job description
- Interact with Test Operators, Quality Engineering, Process Engineering, and operations staff to support production testing, requiring effective organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans to support production testing.
- Assist with troubleshooting failures on CCAs by performing data analysis and visual inspections.
- Identify trends in defects and collaborate with the appropriate teams to resolve issues in a timely manner to prevent future build process defects.
- May participate in new test set builds.
- Support test equipment coordination between internal customers.
- Maintain and improve production test procedures as well as provide inputs on production procedures across the production floor.
- Contribute to the integration of process improvements into production workflows.
Requirements
Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance, Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date, * Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
- 1+ years of experience with RF testing equipment.
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical and/or mechanical issues.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience preparing and executing procedures.
- Experience troubleshooting systems using general test equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information.
- Familiarity with National Instruments (NI) software tools, such as LabVIEW, TestStand, and NI MAX.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and effectively prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
