Job description

As a Reliability Engineer at Efficient Power Conversion, you will help develop and qualify next-generation gallium nitride (GaN) power transistors and ICs for high-performance power electronics applications. This role involves reliability characterization, automated test development, data analysis, and hands-on laboratory work supporting product qualification and technology development.

You will work closely with experienced engineers across reliability, product, test, and failure analysis teams developing advanced GaN power devices and packaging technologies. This position is ideal for an early-career engineer who enjoys experimental work, is eager to learn semiconductor reliability engineering, and is interested in developing strong skills in electronics, data analysis, and reliability physics.

Essential Functions:

§ Support development and execution of reliability test plans by following JEDEC/AEC/MIL test standards.

§ Support product datasheet development.

§ Assist with electrical characterization and stress testing of semiconductor devices.

§ Track, analyze, and report the reliability test results.

§ Develop scripts and tools for processing reliability data and generating reports using MATLAB, Python, JMP, or similar software.

§ Support failure analysis activities and documentation.

Requirements

§ Hands-on experience with electronics and test equipment (power supplies, multimeters, source measurement units, oscilloscopes, signal generators etc.).

§ Basic understanding of semiconductor devices or device physics.

§ Familiarity with programming languages such as (LabVIEW, MATLAB, C/C++, Python).

§ Willingness to learn semiconductor reliability concepts and test methodologies.

§ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

§ Strong attention to detail and organization.

§ Good communication skills.
