Job description
- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain embedded firmware solutions while ensuring software quality, performance, and architectural integrity.
- Evaluate existing applications and firmware platforms to identify opportunities for optimization, scalability, and feature enhancement.
- Refactor and optimize code to improve resource utilization, maintainability, and system performance.
- Establish and promote coding standards, development methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Perform unit testing, debugging, verification, and validation activities throughout the development lifecycle.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues identified during internal testing, field deployments, or customer-reported incidents.
- Prepare technical documentation, progress reports, release notes, and project estimates.
- Contribute to verification and validation planning, execution, and compliance activities.
- Manage firmware version control, software releases, and update processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives, schedules, and deliverables are met.
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering teams to evaluate the feasibility of new features, enhancements, and applications.
- Develop, integrate, and maintain software frameworks, middleware, device drivers, and other critical firmware components.
- Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and support knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Take ownership of additional responsibilities and technical challenges as project requirements evolve.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics, Embedded Systems, or a related technical discipline.
- Equivalent combinations of education and relevant industry experience will also be considered., * QNX and RTOS: 1 year (Required)
