Enterprise Collaboration Platform Engineer

We are seeking an Enterprise Collaboration Platform Engineer to help with the architecture, design, and enterprise-wide implementation of a next-generation collaboration platform for a global financial services organization. This role will be responsible for defining the technical strategy, governance framework, security model, and implementation roadmap for a modern enterprise messaging platform that will become the organization’s primary collaboration solution.

Working closely with Infrastructure, Security, Identity Management, DevOps, and Production Operations teams, you will help with a digital transformation initiative supporting tens of thousands of users across the enterprise. This role is ideal for a technical leader who has successfully delivered enterprise collaboration platform deployments and enjoys building scalable platforms from the ground up., * Platform Architecture & Strategy: Define the technical roadmap, architecture, and implementation strategy for an enterprise collaboration platform, ensuring scalability, security, and long-term sustainability.

• Enterprise Platform Deployment: Lead large-scale platform implementations across multiple business units while coordinating with infrastructure, security, operations, and engineering teams.
• Governance & Compliance: Develop governance standards, security controls, permissions, retention policies, user provisioning processes, and platform administration best practices.
• Platform Integrations: Design and oversee integrations between the collaboration platform and enterprise applications using APIs, automation, scripting, and DevOps methodologies.
• Technical Leadership: Mentor engineers, establish engineering standards, conduct architecture reviews, and provide technical guidance throughout implementation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Infrastructure, Security, Identity Management, and Operations teams to ensure successful platform adoption and operational readiness.
• Operational Excellence: Drive automation, monitoring, documentation, and operational processes that improve platform reliability, scalability, and user experience.

• 8+ years of engineering, infrastructure, or platform engineering experience
• Experience leading enterprise collaboration or messaging platform implementations
• Strong background administering enterprise collaboration platforms, including governance, security, permissions, compliance, and platform administration
• Experience integrating enterprise platforms using APIs, automation, scripting, and DevOps practices
• Experience defining enterprise architecture and technical roadmaps
• Strong communication and leadership skills with experience mentoring technical teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Experience:

• Experience leading enterprise collaboration platform migrations or modernization initiatives
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise deployments serving thousands of users
• Experience with enterprise messaging or productivity platforms
• Experience working within highly regulated environments such as financial services
• Familiarity with Python, PowerShell, or other automation scripting languages
• Experience partnering with Production Operations or Platform Support organizations
