Job description

At Lakes College, we’re looking for an ambitious Graduate Systems & Business Intelligence Developer to join our MIS and Exams Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop specialist skills in SQL, Power BI, Business Intelligence, data systems and reporting, while working alongside experienced professionals in a forward-thinking Further Education college.

As part of our Graduate Programme, you’ll gain hands-on experience working on real projects from day one, helping to transform data into meaningful insights that support students, staff and strategic decision-making across the College.

You’ll be supported to develop expertise in:

  • SQL Server, SSRS and Power BI
  • Database development and management
  • Business intelligence and reporting solutions
  • Data integration and systems development
  • Dashboard creation and data visualisation
  • Educational technology and student information systems

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Developing interactive dashboards and business intelligence reports
  • Creating innovative reporting solutions using SQL, SSRS and Power BI
  • Supporting and enhancing critical College systems and data infrastructure
  • Working with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver valuable insights
  • Improving data quality, automation and reporting processes
  • Exploring new technologies and helping drive digital innovation

Requirements

Experience with Power BI, reporting tools or database development would be advantageous, but your enthusiasm, curiosity and potential are just as important.
