Job description

Experteer Overview As Lead Analyst, Healthplan Data & Strategy, you will drive data-driven insights to shape U.S. self-funded health plans. You’ll partner with Benefit leadership to assess plan design, cost, and outcomes, integrating medical, pharmacy, clinical, financial, and vendor data. Your work will translate analytics into strategic recommendations that improve member health and optimize healthcare spend. You’ll lead cross-functional initiatives and present clear insights to executives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Compensation / Benefits * Manage and analyze medical and pharmacy claims to identify cost drivers and utilization trends * Develop trend analyses and forecasting models for cost projections, budgeting, and scenario planning * Benchmark benefit programs and identify design gaps for improvement * Evaluate plan design changes across medical, dental, vision, disability, and life benefits * Define and monitor financial, clinical, and utilization metrics for health plan performance * Provide updates to Chief Medical Officer and escalate trends as needed * Assess clinical programs and vendor partnerships for impact on outcomes and cost * Lead projects with cross-functional teams and ensure timely delivery of work products * Support benefits strategy with analysis and recommendations on plan design * Develop and present materials to senior executives with clear insights * Identify opportunities to leverage on-site health centers to improve outcomes and reduce external costs * Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by senior leadership Tasks * 4+ years in healthcare data analytics in a health plan setting; self-funded experience preferred * Experience in data analytics and financial modeling * Strong analytical and quantitative skills with large healthcare datasets * Proficiency in SQL and healthcare reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, SSRS) * Ability to translate findings into actionable insights and manage multiple projects * Credibility with business leaders and cross-functional collaboration * Knowledge of HR software; UKG and PlanSource preferred * Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint * Ability to handle confidential information discreetly Key requirements * comprehensive medical, vision, and dental plans * 401k with match * telemedicine and mental health resources * wellness programs and fitness reimbursements * employee discounts and rewards programs * career development and mentorship opportunities
