Job description
- Work item analysis - Developer will participate in analyzing work items and providing estimates of work to be done
- Code development - Successful candidate will be tasked with both writing greenfield code and refactoring legacy code
- Participate in peer code reviews - This person will help ensure code quality by being an active participant in reviewing pull requests across teams
Requirements
- U.S. citizen
- Must be able to pass local background checks to attain a Common Access Card for system access
- Solid understanding of objected-oriented programming
- Comfortable with high school level geometry concepts
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office products
Preferred Skills
- Ability to interpret client requirements into specifications, models, code, and systems
- Experience with Agile workflow processes, * 2+ years of experience writing Microsoft .NET code (preferably .NET 8 or higher)
- 1+ years of experience working remotely (primarily camera off)
- Experience with Git version control
- Experience with Azure DevOps, Gitlab or similar DevOps platform
Preferred Experience:
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience using ESRI ArcGIS Pro or similar GIS application
- Experience writing .NET code for web applications
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or cumulative 3-4 years of equivalent work experience in a related position.
Preferred Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited school by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education with a major in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), math, science, engineering or similar
- MCSD or similarly relevant programming certification
- Security+ certification
- MOS Certification for MS Office Products
