Job description

  • Work item analysis - Developer will participate in analyzing work items and providing estimates of work to be done
  • Code development - Successful candidate will be tasked with both writing greenfield code and refactoring legacy code
  • Participate in peer code reviews - This person will help ensure code quality by being an active participant in reviewing pull requests across teams

Requirements

  • U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to pass local background checks to attain a Common Access Card for system access
  • Solid understanding of objected-oriented programming
  • Comfortable with high school level geometry concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office products

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to interpret client requirements into specifications, models, code, and systems
  • Experience with Agile workflow processes, * 2+ years of experience writing Microsoft .NET code (preferably .NET 8 or higher)
  • 1+ years of experience working remotely (primarily camera off)
  • Experience with Git version control
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Gitlab or similar DevOps platform

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Experience using ESRI ArcGIS Pro or similar GIS application
  • Experience writing .NET code for web applications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or cumulative 3-4 years of equivalent work experience in a related position.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited school by a national or regional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education with a major in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), math, science, engineering or similar
  • MCSD or similarly relevant programming certification
  • Security+ certification
  • MOS Certification for MS Office Products
