Job description

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) is seeking an experienced Esri ArcGIS Developer 2 to support enterprise GIS application development and administration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Esri technologies, Python scripting, web GIS development, and enterprise geospatial systems.

This role involves developing GIS applications and services, supporting ArcGIS Enterprise environments, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and collaborating with technical and business teams on transportation and geospatial projects., * Develop and maintain GIS applications and geospatial solutions using Esri technologies

  • Build and support ArcGIS Server and GeoProcessing services
  • Develop scripts and automation using Python/ArcPy
  • Administer ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise environments
  • Design and customize applications using Experience Builder and Arcade
  • Support desktop GIS workflows using ArcGIS Pro and ArcMap
  • Develop and troubleshoot web-based GIS applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular, or React
  • Manage and optimize geospatial databases and GIS services
  • Troubleshoot application, database, server, and operating system issues
  • Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ensure GIS solutions follow IT security and enterprise architecture standards
  • Support transportation-related GIS systems, mapping, and spatial analysis initiatives

Requirements

Do you have a Bachelor’s degree?, * 4+ years of programming/application development experience

  • 4+ years of PL/SQL and SQL experience
  • 4+ years of Python scripting or ArcPy experience
  • 3+ years of Esri ArcGIS Server services and GeoProcessing services development
  • 3+ years of ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise administration experience
  • 3+ years of Experience Builder and Arcade experience
  • 2+ years of ArcGIS Pro/ArcMap experience
  • Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), Git, Angular, or React
  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, or related field
  • Strong understanding of geospatial and mapping concepts
  • Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of IT security concepts within Esri technologies

  • GeoEvent Server/Velocity experience
  • Roads and Highways experience
  • Linear referencing and dynamic segmentation
  • Geodatabase administration
  • FME (Feature Manipulation Engine)
  • ArcGIS Pro add-in development
  • Esri certifications or URISA GISP certification

Pay: $53.75 per hour
