Job description

This role will lead platform architecture, integration and solution design in Palantir for enterprise data, analytics, and AI use cases. The solution architect will work with business, GIS, AI, data, governance, and delivery teams to translate business needs into scalable, secure, and reusable platform solutions. The role will focus on building trusted data assets, integration patterns, semantic models, and platform standards that support AI-driven business outcomes and long-term operational readiness. What you’ll do

  • Design and architect scalable data pipelines in Palantir Foundry, enabling seamless ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data across enterprise systems.
  • Develop and maintain robust Palantir Foundry Ontologies to model business entities, relationships, and operational workflows for enhanced data usability and decision-making.
  • Build end-to-end data workflows leveraging Palantir Code Repositories, Pipeline Builder, and operational applications while integrating with Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Power BI, SQL, Python/PySpark, and cloud data services.
  • Leverage Palantir native capabilities such as Foundry Ontology SDK, data lineage, governance, and access controls to deliver secure, reusable, and production-grade data assets.
  • Define standards and best practices for modular design, data security, access management, performance optimization, testing, and scalable deployment within the Palantir ecosystem.
  • Mentor engineering teams, promote consistent engineering practices, and evaluate emerging technologies that enhance analytics, AI enablement, automation, and platform operations.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineering teams to define solution roadmaps and deliver scalable, governed, and operationalized data solutions.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in data architecture, platform engineering, cloud data platforms, analytics, digital transformation, or enterprise data modernization initiatives.
  • Deep expertise in Palantir Foundry, Ontology, Pipeline Builder, Code Repositories, Operational Applications, Ontology SDK, data lineage, governance, and platform administration.
  • Strong experience with modern data platforms such as Palantir, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, or equivalent cloud-native analytics ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of Palantir ontology modeling, lakehouse architecture, data warehousing, semantic modeling, enterprise integration patterns, and operational analytics.
  • Hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry security and governance frameworks, including user access management, data lineage, SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, Python/PySpark, and enterprise analytics solutions.
  • Experience with SAP, MES, Kinaxis, supply chain, planning, manufacturing, service systems, APIs, or operational databases is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, Lifecycle, metadata, lineage, access control, and data quality frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead business-facing discussions and translate business problems into scalable technical solutions., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, Data Science, Analytics, or a relevant Engineering field; Master’s or PhD preferred.

Benefits & conditions

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: $137,000.00 -$287,000.00.

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
