Reference Data Operations Specialist

• Ensure accurate creation and maintenance of all tradable securities in our Global Security Master
• Oversee the completion of data quality control checks through system and business validations
• Monitor corporate actions and market data events to proactively ensure processing and avoid disruptions to downstream interfaces
• Liaise with and resolve ad hoc issues raised by internal front, middle, and back office clients as well as external data vendors
• Analyze datasets, work with Development on requirements, and assist in the design and implementation of new processes and workflows to improve our Security Master for stakeholders
• Manage our team in EMEA and APAC and collaborate globally with team members and leads
• Serve as an escalation point and manage stakeholder relationships across Trading, Risk, and Ops counterparts

• 8+ years of experience in financial services, ideally in operations at a broker-dealer or asset management firm, with experience in Security Master and Reference Data
• Experience leading a small team and collaborating across different regions and time zones
• Strong knowledge of financial instruments including equities, fixed income, and derivatives
• Experience working with Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Markit (S&P Global), ICE, and other data vendors
• Ability to implement and maintain new systems, procedures, and controls
• Strong analytical skills for reviewing and validating datasets, identifying gaps, and driving new requirements
• Solid understanding of basic SQL queries and proficient MS Excel skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience supporting senior stakeholders
• Ability to meet deadlines and work well in a team environment
• Self-directed, diligent problem solver with a desire to contribute to our reputation and success

We are part of the Operations and Middle Office department, one of the largest groups at Millennium. Our Data Operation team sits within the Control function of Ops & MO and oversees our Global Security Master through data quality measures, while also managing processes to onboard new securities and attributes. We are looking for a driven and thorough Reference Data Operations Specialist to join our London office. In this role, you will help us improve processes, support efficient BAU activity, and solve problems in real time as part of a collaborative global team.
