Job description

  • Produce accurate shop drawings using Microvellum
  • Build parametric products and assemblies following company standards
  • Generate cut lists, machining files, and CNC-ready data
  • Create complete BOMs and support material purchasing
  • Interpret architectural drawings, specs, and finish schedules
  • Collaborate with PMs, shop, and install teams to clarify details
  • Identify design issues early and provide field-ready solutions
  • Maintain and improve Microvellum libraries and engineering standards
  • Support installers and production with quick revisions and clarifications
  • Meet project deadlines and track progress through internal systems

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Microvellum software with a strong focus on 2D drafting and creating shop drawings.
  • At least 3 years of experience in drafting for cabinetry, millwork, or similar industries.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in drafting and graphic communication.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a team.
  • Deadline oriented with ability to manage time.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with 3D modeling (Boolean)is a plus.
  • Experience with parametric modeling (Revit, etc) is a plus.
  • Experience with specialized cabinet software (Microvellum, Homag iX/Imos, Cabinet Vision, etc) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of cabinet hardware, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Understanding of cabinet construction, joinery, and millwork components.
  • Experience with preparing detailed shop drawings and fabrication documents.
  • A background in woodworking or cabinetry is a plus.
