Job description

  • Convert design layouts into detailed engineering drawings, production blueprints, and material cut lists.
  • Ensure drawings strictly adhere to structural integrity, material specs, and hardware requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, production, and installation teams to ensure seamless project execution and resolve design discrepancies prior to manufacturing.
  • Optimize material usage to minimize waste while maintaining high craftsmanship standards.
  • Update design files and technical documentation as project requirements change.

Requirements

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technical-minded individual to join our team as a Cabinet & Storage System Drafter / Engineer. In this role, you will bridge the gap between design concepts and production, transforming client ideas into precise technical drawings, cut lists, and manufacturing specifications for our custom cabinetry and storage solutions.

  • Strong spatial awareness, attention to detail, and comfort working with measurements and numbers.
  • High problem-solving ability and strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Eagerness and ability to quickly learn new software programs and technical workflows.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred (Nice to Have - We Will Train!):

  • Proficiency or experience with CAD software (e.g., Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar woodworking/architectural software).
  • Familiarity with cabinet construction, joinery methods, hardware systems, or woodworking materials (melamine, plywood, veneers).
  • Hands-on background in cabinet manufacturing, finish carpentry, drafting, or installation.
  • Associate degree, technical certificate, or coursework in Drafting, Design, Engineering, or Woodworking Technology.
