Senior Systems Quality Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you drive system-level quality for Cricut products, from prototypes to mass production. You will work across hardware, firmware, software, and manufacturing to validate performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure readiness for customers. You’ll collaborate with ODM/JDM partners and internal teams to sustain product quality and manufacturing efficiency. You’ll apply hands-on testing and data-driven analysis to mitigate risks and improve reliability, shaping products that meet customer expectations. This is a mission to deliver reliable, manufacturable cutting machines and heated devices that delight makers. Compensation / Benefits * Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for new products, covering environmental, reliability, durability, and system-level validation * Test and troubleshoot hardware, firmware, software, connectivity, and manufacturing-related issues to determine root causes * Validate end-to-end Cricut system behavior, including app-to-device interactions, firmware updates, and customer workflows * Analyze test data, field reports, and performance trends to identify risks and improvement opportunities * Lead or support root-cause analyses, 8D investigations, CAPA actions, and preventive improvements * Create test reports, risk summaries, failure analyses, and cross-functional recommendations * Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, manufacturing, supplier quality, and support teams to resolve issues * Support risk analysis activities such as DFMEA, PFMEA, NUDD, and lessons learned reviews * Develop new tests, enhance existing ones, and automate testing where practical * Train technicians in test setup, execution, and data collection * Maintain lab equipment, fixtures, and documentation for reliable testing * Stay current on quality, reliability, and industry standards * Partner with ODM/JDM manufacturers to monitor quality across development, ramp, and mass production * Support TDE activities including manufacturing test strategy validation, calibration processes, and production test coverage * Ensure thorough testing and calibration across development and production to maintain consistent performance * Perform hands-on system-level validation across cutting machines and heated devices including hardware, electrical, firmware, software, and connectivity * Drive system-wide quality readiness for releases by resolving cross-functional issues impacting customer experience and manufacturability Tasks * Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Material Science, or a related technical field * 8+ years of hands-on experience in product quality, hardware test, reliability, validation, systems test, embedded systems, or manufacturing quality * Experience testing and troubleshooting electromechanical products * Ability to investigate issues across hardware, firmware, software, manufacturing processes, and customer use cases * Experience creating test plans, running tests, analyzing results, and documenting findings * Knowledge of quality and reliability tools such as 8D, CAPA, DFMEA, PFMEA, SPC, DOE, gage R&R, Cp/Cpk, or design for reliability * Strong data-analysis and problem-solving skills * Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work independently, make sound technical judgments, and build cross-functional relationships * Proven ability to lead projects, mentor others, and influence cross-functional teams * Willingness to work on-site in South Jordan, Utah office (Mon-Fri) Key requirements * Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage * 401(k) match * generous PTO * tuition reimbursement * annual lifestyle stipend * employee discounts
