Job description

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering a business-critical application, working with modern technologies including Azure, React, Node.js and SQL while collaborating closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders., * Lead the development of an established Corporate Governance platform from prototype through to production.

Design, develop and maintain scalable full-stack applications using Azure, React, Node.js and TypeScript.
Build, optimise and maintain SQL Server and Azure SQL databases, ensuring performance, security and data integrity.
Develop responsive Front End applications using React and TypeScript.
Build and maintain Back End services using Node.js.
Deploy and support applications hosted within Azure Web Apps.
Work closely with Corporate Governance teams and key stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver business solutions.
Demonstrate new functionality, gather feedback and rapidly iterate on enhancements.
Utilise GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering efficiency.
Contribute to the future evolution of the platform, including AI-driven capabilities and intelligent search functionality.

Requirements

Significant commercial experience as a Full-Stack Software Engineer.
Strong SQL Server and Azure SQL expertise, including:
Database design
Query optimisation
Performance tuning
Data integrity
Strong commercial experience with:
React
Node.js
JavaScript
TypeScript
Experience deploying and supporting applications within Microsoft Azure, including Azure Web Apps.
Experience using GitHub Copilot and modern AI-assisted development workflows.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Experience delivering production-ready, business-critical applications.

Desirable Experience:

Experience working within a Microsoft 365 environment.
Knowledge of PostgreSQL.
Experience with modern AI technologies, including:
Large Language Models (LLMs)
Embeddings
Vector databases
Semantic search
Experience integrating AI capabilities into business applications.

About the company

Robert Half has partnered with a market-leading Financial Services organisation to recruit a Full Stack Engineer for an initial 6 months. This is a hybrid role based in Central London, requiring three days per week in the office.
