Job description

Application Solution Architect APIs & RealTime Streaming (Financial Services) Shape and lead target-state architecture for secure, low-latency API and Kafka-based streaming platforms across client engagements in payments, trading, risk, and fraud working within regulated financial environments. Design and advise on real-time data pipeline architecture using Kafka, Spark, and microservices across hybrid on-prem and cloud infrastructures (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud Platform), tailored to each client’s technology landscape. Define client-facing architecture guardrails for performance, resilience, scalability, and high availability spanning throughput, latency, failover, and operational readiness and drive adoption through governance frameworks. Embed security and compliance by design across API gateways, OAuth2/mTLS, encryption, and observability, aligned to financial-grade API standards and client regulatory obligations. Lead enterprise modernization engagements guiding clients from legacy integration patterns to event-driven and API-first architectures influencing business, engineering, risk, and security stakeholders up to the executive level. Architect and deliver AI-enabled platform capabilities including agentic workflows, LLM integration, and intelligent data pipelines helping financial services clients operationalize AI within governed, production-grade environments. Design graph-based architecture solutions using platforms such as Neo4j to model complex financial relationships entity resolution, risk lineage, fraud network detection and integrate graph layers into broader data and metadata ecosystems.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in enterprise or solution architecture, with at least 3 years in financial services across banking, payments, capital markets, or lending.
  • Consulting or advisory background comfortable owning architectural outcomes in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Deep expertise in Apache Kafka, event-driven architecture, and real-time streaming platforms at scale.
  • Strong hands-on background in RESTful and async API design, API gateway products, and microservices architecture.
  • Solid grasp of financial services regulatory requirements (PCI-DSS, SOX, DORA, Basel) and how they shape platform design.
  • Experience with AWS and hybrid cloud architectures in regulated environments.
