Software Tester

We’re looking to register candidates who are interested in future Software Tester opportunities within our network. This is a chance to join dynamic testing and validation teams working on cutting-edge projects across industries where quality assurance directly impacts product success., Software Tester roles of this type could involve collaborating with development teams to design, execute and document comprehensive test strategies across manual and automated testing environments. These contract-based positions typically sit within fast-paced delivery teams where your work could directly influence product quality, performance and user experience. You could work on diverse projects ranging from web applications to embedded systems, with scope to contribute to continuous improvement in testing processes and practices., * Designing and executing manual and automated test cases across multiple platforms and environments

• Identifying, documenting and tracking defects through to resolution
• Collaborating with development and product teams to clarify requirements and validate fixes
• Performing regression testing and user acceptance testing (UAT) in support of release cycles
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts and test frameworks
• Reporting on test progress, coverage and quality metrics to stakeholders
• Participating in test planning and strategy sessions to ensure comprehensive coverage, Most roles of this type offer the following, dependent on the industry and seniority of the role:

• Proven experience in manual and/or automated software testing
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test case design and defect lifecycle
• Familiarity with at least one test automation tool or scripting language
• Knowledge of SQL for database testing and validation
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Associate’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional qualification
• Authorization to work in the United Kingdom

Nice-to-have

• Experience with Agile/Scrum development environments
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation frameworks
• Exposure to performance or load testing
• Knowledge of API testing or mobile testing practices
• ISTQB certification or similar QA qualification
