Software Engineer, Global Banking & Markets, Commodity Trading & Sales Technology

• Liaise with traders, salespeople, and engineers to determine development requirements and lead project execution to deliver solutions to complex business problems.
• Gain experience in a variety of technologies, including Java, Python, Slang / SecDB (GS proprietary language), web technologies (JavaScript, Angular etc.), and real-time cluster technologies like SPARK and NoSQL data stores like MongoDB.

The ideal candidate will have experience and interest in leading execution of projects to build enterprise systems that are highly reliable and require low maintenance. • 4+ years of experience with programming in any language.
• Ability to quickly learn new languages and technologies.
• Strong object-oriented analysis and design skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience speaking to global engineering and business audience.
• Comfort with multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as a part of a global team.
• Ability to apply an entrepreneurial approach and passion to problem solving, product development and support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of trading technologies in the front-office of a trading organization.
• Background in finance.

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $130,000-$250,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
