Remote Terraform Network Automation SME

Insight Global’s client is seeking a Terraform Network Automation SME to lead a 6-week network automation initiative, focused on using Terraform to automate and manage Cisco-based network infrastructure and related networking services in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.

• Automate provisioning and configuration of network infrastructure components.

• Implement and manage Terraform modules, state management, workflows, and deployment practices.

• Support automation initiatives across enterprise networking environments.

• Work directly with stakeholders to gather requirements and implement automation solutions.

• Translate networking requirements into scalable Terraform code.

• Collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to automate operational processes.

• Troubleshoot Terraform deployments and infrastructure-related issues.

• Participate in technical discussions around network automation strategies and implementation approaches.

• Provide technical guidance on Terraform capabilities and limitations within network environments.

• Extensive hands-on Terraform experience in production environments.

• Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience, including Terraform modules, state management, providers, and workflows.

• Strong Cisco networking background.

• Experience with Cisco Nexus (NX-OS), LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, and VXLAN EVPN.

• Experience automating network infrastructure using Terraform.

• Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, Infoblox, DNS/DHCP/IPAM, and Active Directory integrations.

Ability to work independently and communicate directly with technical stakeholders. * Experience automating enterprise network environments using Terraform.

• Experience supporting large-scale network transformation initiatives.

• Experience working within consulting or systems integration environments.

• Experience supporting remote customer engagements.
