Job description
The Agile Coach will guide and support the Utility Company’s IT and Business orgs and users in advancing its Agile transformation across infrastructure, application support, and project delivery teams. This role will partner with product teams, platform teams, Scrum Masters, leadership, and PMO functions to improve Agile maturity, delivery effectiveness, collaboration, and operational efficiency., Coach Agile teams, Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and leadership on Agile principles, frameworks, and best practices. Support the transition from traditional delivery models to product- and platform-based Agile operating models. Drive Agile maturity assessments and implement continuous improvement plans across portfolios and teams. Facilitate adoption of Agile practices for both application development and infrastructure/service delivery teams. Partner with PMO, Technical Managers, and Product Teams to align Agile execution with governance and enterprise objectives. Guide teams in backlog management, sprint planning, estimation, dependency management, and delivery metrics. Promote Lean-Agile principles to improve workflow efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance service delivery outcomes. Establish and standardize Agile ceremonies, delivery cadences, reporting frameworks, and team performance metrics. Mentor Scrum Masters and delivery teams to strengthen servant leadership, collaboration, and self-organization capabilities. Support cross-functional coordination between infrastructure, operations, cybersecurity, cloud, and application teams. Identify delivery impediments, organizational challenges, and process inefficiencies, and recommend improvement strategies. Enable adoption of Agile tooling and dashboards for transparency, KPI tracking, and portfolio-level reporting.
Requirements
7-10+ years of IT delivery experience with at least 3+ years in Agile coaching or enterprise Agile transformation roles. Strong understanding of Agile frameworks including Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe, and product-based delivery models. Experience working within regulated or utility industry environments preferred. Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, communication, and organizational change management skills. Good to Have Certifications: Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or SAFe Agilist (SA) PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) Lean Six Sigma certification ITIL Foundation certification
