Job description

Concentric Corporation is conducting a search for an experienced .NET Developer to support the ongoing maintenance, enhancement, and modernization preparation of a large-scale enterprise application environment.

This position will focus on maintaining and supporting a critical internal system that manages complex business and data requirements across multiple environments. The role includes bug fixes, application updates, enhancement requests, and supporting evolving business and regulatory needs while contributing to long-term modernization initiatives planned for the future.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working within an established legacy architecture while helping support future improvements., * Perform ongoing maintenance and support for enterprise-level .NET applications

  • Develop and implement enhancements, bug fixes, and system updates
  • Support changing business requirements and application modifications
  • Troubleshoot application, database, and system-related issues
  • Collaborate with technical and business teams to identify solutions and prioritize updates
  • Maintain and support backend integrations and existing application architecture
  • Work with SQL Server databases, datasets, and reporting components
  • Participate in modernization planning and future-state application discussions
  • Document changes, fixes, and technical updates as needed
  • Ensure system reliability, performance, and stability across supported environments

Requirements

Do you have experience in VB.NET?, * Previous experience developing and supporting applications using VB.NET required

  • Experience working within legacy or enterprise application environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging capabilities
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and relational databases
  • Familiarity with Windows Forms applications and .NET-based architectures
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable supporting maintenance-heavy development environments

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with .NET Remoting, datasets, and reporting tools

  • Familiarity with Infragistics controls or similar UI frameworks
  • Experience supporting modernization or migration initiatives
  • Background working in large-scale or highly regulated application environments
