Job description

As a part of the Operations and Support Services team this position provides technical support for all end user computing and communications equipment and software. Performs second level technical support for Pasco County production operations., Provides hardware and software support for PC’s, telephones, and network/telecommunications systems including installation, configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting problems. Serves as point-of-contact with vendors to schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance on computer and peripheral equipment. Advises, trains, and assists end users and fellow employees on system operations and usage. Updates documentation manuals with new procedures and modifications to existing procedure. Requirements

  • Ability to support software and productivity applications including MS 365, Teams Calling, and select proprietary applications.
  • Ability to support Windows 11 and mobile device platforms.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair and perform preventative maintenance for PC’s, laptops, printers, and scanners.
  • Ability to setup, support and troubleshoot remote office VPN’s.
  • Ability to image, inventory, and deploy devices using enterprise systems.
  • Ability to follow established standards and make suggestions for improvement.
  • Superior communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Ability to accurately perform detailed tasks and adjust and adapt to changing work processes.

Minimum Requirements PHYSICAL SKILLS: Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication. EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Graduation from an accredited college or university with an associate degree in Computer Science or related field, OR graduation from high school or equivalent with two (2) years’ experience in the installation, configuring and troubleshooting of end user technologies and networks. Preferred Experience: Experience with writing user documentation, VoIP telephone systems, smartphone email integration, Android and IOS operating systems, wireless hotspots (Mifi), Microsoft Windows Server Active Directory, Microsoft Active Directory administration, Microsoft SCCM, and IP and subnets with VPN tunneling. For In-house applicants: This position qualifies for DAP. LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid Florida driver’s license. CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent technical certificate preferred; required if applicant does not have an Associate degree.
