Job description

The Platform Analyst role is an exciting opportunity to join the BroadCare Solutions’ Platform Team.

As Platform Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining and enhancing our software platforms.

The role combines technical problem solving, platform configuration, testing and continuous improvement, with some customer engagement. You will work closely with software developers, first and second-line support colleagues and product stakeholders to ensure our systems continue to deliver for our NHS customers.

The Platform Analyst will play a key role in translating business requirements into practical software solutions, supporting product development, testing, investigating complex issues and ensuring that platform enhancements are successfully delivered into live environments. The role will also involve supporting the delivery of software projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide second line support for BroadCare Solutions software platforms.
  • Investigate and resolve complex software issues.
  • Gather and document business requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Support software development projects by contributing to specifications, testing and release activities.
  • Configure software platforms to meet agreed customer and business requirements.
  • Create detailed, accurate, and reusable test scripts covering functional testing, system testing, integration testing, data testing, regression testing and smoke testing.
  • Prepare and execute testing activities, including regression, end-to-end and user acceptance testing.
  • Support software release processes and communicate changes to customers and internal teams.
  • Work collaboratively with development teams to troubleshoot issues and validate solutions.
  • Assist in identifying root causes of recurring support issues and implement permanent fixes.
  • Support platform access management and ensure appropriate controls are maintained.
  • Act as a point of escalation for complex product-related queries.
  • Contribute to customer meetings, workshops and product demonstrations as required.
  • Work closely with implementation, training, account management and support colleagues to ensure a joined-up customer experience.

Requirements

  • Experience investigating and resolving software or technical support issues.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Experience working with customers and stakeholders in a professional environment.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities and workloads effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable

  • Experience within healthcare, NHS, Continuing Healthcare (CHC) or All Age Continuing Care environments.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycles.
  • Experience supporting SaaS or cloud-based software platforms.
  • Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies.
  • Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps or similar product management tools.
  • Experience testing software releases and supporting user acceptance testing.
  • Understanding of data management, reporting or SQL.
  • Experience of software configuration and system administration., * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and recommend practical solutions.
  • Attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Able to translate customer and business requirements into clear development, configuration and testing activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Professional and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Builds positive working relationships and collaborates effectively.
  • Proactive and adaptable, with a willingness to learn, contribute ideas and continuously improve.
