Job description

Join a high-performing team that is revolutionizing the wire and cable industry! We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Associate to ensure products, materials, and processes meet defined quality standards through real-time inspections and verification in a manufacturing environment. This role is critical to preventing waste, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement on the production floor. This position is hourly and non-exempt status.

WHAT we need you to do.

  • Perform real-time verification of processes and machine setups on the manufacturing floor.
  • Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections of all products at every stage of production.
  • Ensure all operators follow proper tooling care procedures.
  • Identify and immediately report non-conforming products or processes to production staff to prevent waste.
  • Collect and document machine downtime information in the Machine Downtime report.
  • Assist with additional quality-related tasks as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as required to support production and quality initiatives.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Writing skills?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or GED required.

  • One (1) year of quality assurance experience in manufacturing preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to facilitate learning and support process improvements.
  • Math aptitude and computer literacy; proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and microscopes.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specification drawings.

Work Environment / Physical & Visual Demands

  • This position is a hands-on role performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, not in an office setting.
  • Flexibility required to adapt to production needs and schedule demands.
  • Physical Demands: Standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting, repetitive motions, grasping, and frequent lifting (up to 20 lbs. independently and up to 50 lbs. with assistance). May also include sedentary/light work such as sitting, writing, and keystroking.
  • Visual Demands: Sufficient acuity to read documents, perform inspections, and use measurement tools and computer systems.
  • Work Environment: Exposure to noise, vibration, and a non-climate-controlled environment. Protection from outdoor weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature fluctuations.
