Job description
Join a high-performing team that is revolutionizing the wire and cable industry! We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Associate to ensure products, materials, and processes meet defined quality standards through real-time inspections and verification in a manufacturing environment. This role is critical to preventing waste, ensuring compliance, and supporting continuous improvement on the production floor. This position is hourly and non-exempt status.
WHAT we need you to do.
- Perform real-time verification of processes and machine setups on the manufacturing floor.
- Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections of all products at every stage of production.
- Ensure all operators follow proper tooling care procedures.
- Identify and immediately report non-conforming products or processes to production staff to prevent waste.
- Collect and document machine downtime information in the Machine Downtime report.
- Assist with additional quality-related tasks as assigned.
- Perform other duties as required to support production and quality initiatives.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Writing skills?, Do you have a High school diploma or GED?, * High school diploma or GED required.
- One (1) year of quality assurance experience in manufacturing preferred.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to facilitate learning and support process improvements.
- Math aptitude and computer literacy; proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and microscopes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specification drawings.
Work Environment / Physical & Visual Demands
- This position is a hands-on role performed primarily on the manufacturing floor, not in an office setting.
- Flexibility required to adapt to production needs and schedule demands.
- Physical Demands: Standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting, repetitive motions, grasping, and frequent lifting (up to 20 lbs. independently and up to 50 lbs. with assistance). May also include sedentary/light work such as sitting, writing, and keystroking.
- Visual Demands: Sufficient acuity to read documents, perform inspections, and use measurement tools and computer systems.
- Work Environment: Exposure to noise, vibration, and a non-climate-controlled environment. Protection from outdoor weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature fluctuations.
