Job description

This role is about developing our products to make charities more successful in fundraising. There are plenty of opportunities to grow and develop your skills in this role in a fast-paced tech start-up environment.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Developing new features for the Dona platform
  • Fixing bugs that arise in the system
  • Writing unit and system tests
  • Reviewing code of other developers in the team
  • Getting involved in the full development lifecycle of changes

Requirements

  • Someone with a strong technical background with an understanding of software architecture, modern development approaches and development best practices.
  • Experience in Android Kotlin, Node, React, Cypress, Angular (optional), GitHub, AWS, Claude Code and Codex.
  • An excellent communicator who has excellent verbal and written English. You’ll be communicating with end-users as well as developers.
  • Someone organised, a self-starter. You’ll need to deal with several competing priorities in this role and you’ll be expected to research and resolve issues yourself.
  • Patient and good at explaining things simply. You’ll need to learn our domain and explain business requirements to developers and technical issues to business users.
  • Adaptable - we need someone who is comfortable working in a fast paced tech start-up environment.
  • At least 4 years experience in a similar role., * Bachelor’s (required), * commercial Android Kotlin development: 3 years (required)

Working hours 9am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week). Monthly travel to Hove required at own expense.

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
