Job description

To support the use and integration of hardware and software through the setup, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and implementation of the district’s technology systems., 1. Installs, configures and maintains end-user technology equipment at school sites.

  1. Transports, sets up, and installs computers and peripherals (printers, scanners, cameras, etc.)
  2. Performs basic troubleshooting practices in dealing with computer problems and connections to servers and server-based software.
  3. Performs hardware inventory annually or as needed and reports findings to System Support Technician II.
  4. Performs all preventative maintenance on all user equipment, i.e. cleans projector air filters, firmware upgrades on printers/computers.
  5. Coordinates repairs with System Support Specialist II and vendors.
  6. Assists site tech coordinators with technology problems that may arise.
  7. Is aware of district-approved software and reports violations.
  8. Provides assistance and demonstrations of technology to end-users.
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned. Reports To: Technology Director Calendar: 12 Months; 40hrs/week

Requirements

  1. Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Must possess a valid AZ IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
  3. Must have two years experience working with Macintosh computers in a networked environment.
  4. Must have one years experience working with networked and stand-alone printers, LCD-projectors, interactive whiteboards and other peripheral technology used in district classrooms.
  5. Must have two years experience with configuration and troubleshooting application software on Mac OS X computers.
  6. Must possess effective communication skills, including the ability to explain technology to users.
  7. Must be able to lift and carry 40 pounds.
