Job description
The District is seeking a versatile, highly motivated Computer Technician to join our Technology Department. This unique hybrid role bridges the gap between end-user hardware, audio/visual support, and student data administration. You will serve as a primary administrator for our Student Information System (Infinite Campus) while providing cross-functional technical support for district devices-including Chromebooks, iPads, PCs, and building-wide Audio/Visual (AV) systems., * Manage day-to-day operations, user access, rosters, and data reporting within Infinite Campus.
- Set up, support, and maintain Audio/Visual (AV) systems across classrooms, office spaces, and shared environments (such as boardrooms, auditoriums, and gymnasiums).
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot district Chromebooks and iPads using Google Admin Console and Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms.
- Setup, troubleshoot, repair, and support Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, and iOS hardware, printers, and classroom displays.
- Run built-in reports to support district administrative needs and state compliance requirements.
- Respond to help desk tickets and train staff on district technology and AV tools.
Requirements
- Education: Associate degree in Computer Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field required (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Experience: 2+ years of hands-on IT and AV support experience in an enterprise or educational environment. Direct experience deploying and managing Windows fleets, Chromebook fleets (Google Admin), iPads (Apple School Manager / ADE / MDM), and interactive classroom/event AV systems is strongly preferred. Experience with Infinite Campus or basic data reporting is a plus.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency with ChromeOS, iOS/iPadOS, Windows 11, macOS, and Microsoft 365.
- Hands-on knowledge of AV setup and troubleshooting (interactive displays, projectors, sound systems, wireless casting).
- Familiarity with Student Information Systems (Infinite Campus or similar).
- Professional Skills: Excellent customer service, clear communication, problem-solving ability, and strict attention to data privacy/FERPA guidelines.
