Job description

Technical Diagnostics & Repairs

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues, with a strong focus on gaming laptops, high-performance components, and thermal management.
  • Perform component-level repairs including:
  • Motherboard diagnostics
  • Soldering and micro-soldering (preferred)
  • Screen, keyboard, and chassis replacements
  • Thermal paste/re-paste services, fan replacements, etc.
  • Execute clean, efficient, and high-quality repair work while following internal standards.

Customer Support & Communication

  • Provide remote technical support for Windows systems and gaming-related performance issues.
  • Clearly explain technical problems and solutions to customers with varying levels of knowledge.
  • Assist customers with purchases, upgrades, and product recommendations based on their usage and performance needs.

Leadership & Workflow Management

  • Act as a service technician for the repair queue-prioritizing, diagnosing, and ensuring timely service completion.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all repairs, diagnostics, and customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with team members to refine repair procedures, improve service efficiency, and maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction.

Continuous Learning

  • Stay up to date on new gaming laptop platforms, GPUs/CPUs, cooling designs, BIOS/UEFI features, and emerging repair techniques.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Computer Repair Technician with a strong emphasis on computer gaming hardware to join our team. This role requires deep technical expertise, excellent customer-support ability, and the confidence to independently diagnose, repair, and advise on a wide range of computer issues.

You will primarily provide remote support to customers (phone, email, and ticketing) while also handling repairs and providing technical leadership in house. If you’re passionate about performance hardware, enjoy problem-solving, and thrive in a fast-paced retail/technical setting, we’d love to meet you., * 3+ years of hands-on experience in computer repair, with strong emphasis on hardware diagnostics and repair.

  • Proven ability to work on gaming computers
  • Strong understanding of Windows OS troubleshooting and optimization.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and common repair equipment.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tickets, and meet service timelines.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
  • Experience using service ticketing or CRM platforms.

Preferred but Not Required

  • Soldering or micro-soldering experience.
  • Experience training technicians or overseeing repair workflows.
  • Background in retail environments involving consumer electronics., * Associate (Required)
