Job description
We are looking for a high-caliber Senior Architect to own the intersection of Platform Engineering and Data Strategy. You will be responsible for designing a unified, secure, and highly automated ecosystem where infrastructure and data are treated as a single, cohesive product. This is a leadership role that requires deep technical expertise in cloud-native platforms (K8s, Serverless) and modern data architectures (Data Lakehouse, Fabric, Mesh). ## Key Responsibilities

Platform Architecture & Cloud Strategy ? Cloud-Native Foundation: Architect and govern scalable, resilient cloud platforms using Kubernetes (GKE/AKS/EKS) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Crossplane). ? Landing Zone Excellence: Define and implement enterprise-grade Cloud Landing Zones, ensuring networking, IAM, and security guardrails are baked into the platform. ? DevOps/Platform Engineering: Establish Internal Developer Platforms (IDP) that empower data engineers to deploy resources autonomously via GitOps (GitHub Actions/ArgoCD).

Data Architecture & Engineering ? Data Lifecycle Design: Architect end-to-end data pipelines and storage strategies using Data Lakehouse patterns (e.g., Delta Lake, Iceberg) or Microsoft Fabric/Synapse. ? Governance & Privacy: Design data security architectures including encryption at rest/transit, data masking, and compliance frameworks (GDPR/SOC2). ? Interoperability: Ensure the data platform integrates seamlessly with AI/ML workloads, BI tools (Power BI/Looker), and third-party APIs.

Strategic Leadership ? Technical Roadmap: Define the 3-year vision for both Platform and Data, aligning technology investments with business growth. ? Cost Governance (FinOps): Implement rigorous cost-monitoring for high- compute data workloads (Spark, BigQuery, Snowflake) to ensure architectural efficiency. ?
