Job description
- Plan, develop, own, and drive a global IT strategy for the assigned Business Domain; collaborate with other BRM Leads and IT S&T functions to define policies, standards, and guidelines for domain-level IT strategy
- Foster, shape, and manage business demand for IT investments across all geographies and business units; identify solutions to meet business needs and assess dependencies, risks, and opportunities with other Domain BRMs; ensure prioritized demand is translated into well-scoped IT solutions and clearly defined projects with proper benefit definition
- Establish and maintain a multi-year roadmap for the Business Capacity Model and system landscape for IT systems in scope; synchronize with Data Management, BI, and Operational Technology roadmaps; lead global requests for proposals, analysis, recommendations, and vendor execution
- Communicate and connect business mission, plans, and priorities with application domains and IT functions; actively influence IT delivery organizations to plan and provide appropriate support
- Be accountable for IT delivery once projects are initiated across Solution Delivery and Service Delivery organizations; implement post-completion learning and improvement reviews to continuously enhance business value
- Coach executive business stakeholders and their teams to increase digital literacy and enable them to articulate technology needs that improve business performance
- Proactively share relevant technology advancements and market success stories within the functional domain and collaborate with Enterprise Architecture on enterprise roadmap development
- Advocate for the IT organization by informing and influencing business executives to understand, support, and fund initiatives aligned with IT goals, enterprise architecture, and infrastructure/application strategies
- Communicate IT plans, changes, and their impact on business performance and strategic objectives
- Establish and run a Voice of the Customer (VoC) process to measure satisfaction with IT services and identify opportunities to improve IT and business unit collaboration and value delivery
- Lead, motivate, develop, and performance-manage team members to ensure individual and collective performance meets current and future business needs
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- BRM Institute Certification is a plus but not required
- 10+ years of experience as a Global General Manager or Senior IT Consultant within the relevant business domain
- 5-10 years of experience in the Medical or Life Sciences industry, either in consulting or in-house roles
- 5+ years of experience in value creation and demand planning; exposure to Design Thinking, Value Stream Mapping, or Business Capability Modeling is an advantage
- Strong understanding of core business processes, KPIs, best practices, and business and technology trends
- Solid knowledge of enterprise IT architecture, platforms, solutions, and the broader technology landscape
- Experience in both solution consulting and implementation/support environments
- Proven people leadership experience (8+ years), including performance management, coaching, and leading global teams and executive stakeholders
- Strong business acumen, strategic and critical thinking, excellent interpersonal and influencing skills across cultures, with flexibility for global collaboration and travel
