Job description
We’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect with a strong insurance software background to join our pre-sales and solutioning team. This is a high-impact, client-facing role where you will shape end-to-end solutions that drive real business outcomes and support revenue growth across our insurance portfolio.
You’ll work at the intersection of business, technology and sales-partnering closely with account teams, clients, product and delivery to design compelling, scalable and commercially viable solutions.
What you’ll be doing
You will play a leading role across the full sales lifecycle, from early client engagement through to proposal and handover, owning the solution vision and approach.
Your focus will include:
- Leading the design of Smart App and AI-enabled insurance solutions aligned to clear customer outcomes
- Acting as a core member of the pre-sales and sales team, shaping differentiated propositions that support deal progression and revenue growth
- Engaging directly with clients to run discovery workshops, understanding business challenges, operating models, data needs and success measures
- Translating customer requirements into scalable, secure architecture designs covering APIs, integrations, workflows, data and AI capabilities
- Developing compelling solution narratives, proposals, architecture artefacts and implementation approaches for client pursuits
- Providing deep insurance domain insight across areas such as policy administration, claims, underwriting, broking and reinsurance
- Defining practical modernisation strategies that balance innovation with reuse and existing investments
- Driving consistency through reusable patterns, integration models and configuration-first approaches
- Ensuring solutions meet security, compliance, data privacy and responsible AI standards
- Acting as a trusted adviser to senior client stakeholders, clearly articulating complex technical concepts in a business-focused way
- Feeding market insight and client needs into product and solution development, keeping DXC at the forefront of insurance innovation
Requirements
We’re looking for a seasoned architect who combines deep technical expertise with strong commercial awareness and the ability to influence in a sales-driven environment., * Significant experience in solution architecture, pre-sales or client-facing technical roles within insurance software or platforms
- A strong understanding of insurance processes and technology landscapes (P&C, life & annuities, or related domains)
- Proven experience designing enterprise solutions across SaaS, cloud, integration, workflow and AI-enabled architectures
- Experience supporting sales pursuits, including workshops, proposals, solution estimates and executive presentations
- The ability to design end-to-end architectures incorporating APIs, data integration, orchestration, AI/ML or emerging AI capabilities
- Strong commercial acumen-able to link technical design decisions to business value, outcomes and deal success
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence both technical and business audiences
- A collaborative, solution-focused mindset with the ability to balance innovation, scalability and delivery practicality
Nice to have
- Experience with AI-enabled solutions, Smart Apps or workflow platforms within insurance
- Knowledge of responsible AI, governance and working in regulated environments
- Relevant certifications in architecture, cloud, data, AI or TOGAF
- Experience working across global teams and supporting multi-region client engagements
