Firmware Engineer

The Firmware Engineering position is a member of the Electrical Hardware Development team at MTS Systems. The team is responsible for developing and supporting a wide range of electrical products focused on high performance motion control and precision data acquisition.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering or related field

• Demonstrated technical expertise and proficiency in embedded firmware development in C/C++ Demonstrated software development experiences using Python

• Experience with Git or similar version control tools

• Working knowledge of product development methodologies and stage-gate development processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodology.

• Experience with industrial communication protocols, including Ethernet, Modbus, CAN, and EtherCAT

• Experience with Control Systems and Digital Signal Processing algorithm design

• Experience with Real-Time Operation System (RTOS)

• Knowledge of FPGA / HDL / SystemVerilog.
