Job description

ProTek Recycling, Inc. is currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Computer Technician to join our team in the Capital Region of New York. As a Computer Technician, you will play a vital role in providing technical support and maintaining computer systems for our electronic recycling company., The Computer Technician I is responsible for handling bulk processing of incoming computer equipment, particularly laptops that do not meet refurbishment criteria. This role involves preparing these items for resale in both online and offline markets, assisting in price evaluation, and maintaining an organized inventory.

Responsibilities:

· Populating Lots for Resale:

o Create accurate excel spreadsheets of each lot.

o Ensure lots are appropriately packaged and labeled.

· Inventory Management:

o Assist in price evaluation of equipment, staying updated with market trends and contributing to informed decisions regarding resale values.

o Keep inventory of products maintained.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Packing?, · Previous experience in computer hardware processing, inventory management, or a similar role.

· Experience with online sales platforms such as eBay, Amazon, or similar.

· Basic technical skills related to computer hardware, including laptops.

· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

· Ability to accurately assess the condition and value of computer equipment.

· Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Proficiency in using MS Office applications, primarily Excel.

· Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
