Job description

We’re looking for an IT Training Manager to join our L&D team. You’ll be responsible for shaping, coordinating and overseeing the firm’s IT training plan, ensuring learning activity supports the firm’s strategy and enables our people to make the best use of technology.

This role is about more than delivering training. You’ll work closely with IT, HR and L&D leadership to align IT learning with business priorities, attend project reviews to identify training needs, develop communication plans and ensure all IT learning activity is embedded within the LMS.

You’ll also work with the IT trainers to schedule and deliver activity, monitor engagement and provide clear management information to HR and IT leadership teams, including utilisation, evaluation and attendance data.

You will be joining the L&D team and working closely with colleagues across IT, HR and the wider business.

Day to day, you’ll be successful in this role by:

  • Liaising with the IT and HR leadership teams to ensure the IT training plan reflects the firm’s strategy.
  • Working with the Head of L&D to align IT training activity to the wider L&D strategy.
  • Attending project reviews with IT project teams to identify, scope and agree IT training activity.
  • Working with the IT trainers to plan, schedule and coordinate training delivery.
  • Developing and implementing a communication strategy to promote IT learning activity and support engagement.
  • Ensuring all IT learning activity is integrated into the LMS and recorded accurately.
  • Providing management information to the HR and IT leadership teams, including utilisation, evaluation and attendance reporting.
  • Supporting and covering the IT trainers in the delivery of induction and BAU training.

Requirements

  • You have experience managing or coordinating IT training activity, ideally within a professional services or legal environment.
  • You are confident working with senior stakeholders across IT, HR and L&D to translate business priorities into practical training plans.
  • Understanding of legal workflows and how digital tools support them
  • You can develop engaging communications and learning plans that support technology adoption and change.
  • You have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • You are able to pick up new software and technologies easily
  • You are able to attend your nearest CW office at least once a week and are willing to travel to any of our other offices on occasion to perform floorwalking tasks and training activities.
  • You have an eye for detail and accuracy
  • You have excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and multi-task
  • You are self-motivated, being able to work autonomously to meet deadlines
  • You have strong communication skills, you can connect with everyone from trainees to partners
  • You can use LMS and reporting data to provide clear insight on utilisation, attendance, evaluation and impact.
