Website Wireframe WordPress Backend Figma Tools for Reporting

Job description

At NUVEW, we build websites and digital solutions that actually perform. Our clients rely on us to create experiences that generate leads, drive growth, and solve real business problems, not just look good.

We’re looking for someone who is strong in design and comfortable in development. Someone who can handle updates and improvements when needed, while collaborating with developers on more complex functionality.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing clean, intuitive user experiences across websites, landing pages, and digital platforms
  • Turning business goals and feedback into thoughtful, user-friendly designs
  • Creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that translate clearly into development
  • Building and updating websites using WordPress, ACF, and modern front-end tools
  • Making design and layout changes directly in code (HTML, CSS, basic JavaScript) when needed
  • Translating Figma or design files into clean, production-ready front-end updates
  • Improving usability, performance, and conversion across client websites
  • Implementing SEO, AEO, accessibility, and mobile-first best practices
  • Supporting analytics setup (Google Analytics, GTM) as needed
  • Troubleshooting front-end issues and making ongoing improvements
  • Collaborating with developers when more complex functionality is required
  • Managing multiple projects and keeping work moving forward, * Original design work (not templates or drag-and-drop builders)
  • Examples of websites you’ve worked on (live links preferred)
  • Clean, modern design with strong attention to layout, spacing, and usability
  • Real-world applications, not just concept designs
  • Work that shows your ability to improve user experience, not just aesthetics
  • Bonus if you can show examples where you contributed to both design and implementation

Work Environment

Hybrid position based in Crown Point, IN

Minimum of three days per week in-office

First 90 days (training period) required in-office five days per week

What This Role Is (and Isn’t)

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role. You’ll be making updates, improving sites, and keeping projects moving.

If you enjoy:

  • Seeing your work go live
  • Making things better over time
  • Producing consistent, high-quality output

You’ll do well here.

If you’re looking for:

  • Purely conceptual design
  • Heavy backend development
  • Minimal execution

This likely isn’t the right fit.

Why NUVEW

We move fast, expect a lot, and take pride in doing things right.

You’ll be part of a team that:

  • Solves real business problems
  • Values accountability and quality
  • Gives you ownership of your work
  • Lets you see the impact of what you build

If you’re someone who can design, execute, and take ownership, we’d love to talk.

Requirements

Do you have experience in WordPress?, * Someone who takes ownership. If something needs to be fixed, you fix it

  • Strong attention to detail (you notice the small things others miss)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects without things slipping
  • Strong design sense paired with practical execution skills
  • Comfortable making changes directly in websites when needed.
  • Someone who thinks through the “why,” not just the “how”
  • A problem-solver who doesn’t default to shortcuts
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with a team, * 3+ years of experience in UI/UX design and web development
  • Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS, with working knowledge of JavaScript
  • Experience with WordPress (themes, plugins, content updates, ACF)
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar design tools
  • Experience translating designs into clean, functional front-end updates
  • Understanding of UX principles and how users interact with websites
  • Experience designing responsive, mobile-first websites
  • Familiarity with SEO, AEO, and performance best practices
  • Basic understanding of analytics tools (Google Analytics, GTM)
  • Ability to collaborate with developers on more advanced functionality, As part of our hiring process, applicants are required to complete a skills assessment relevant to the position they are applying for. The assessment is intended to evaluate experience, technical ability, attention to detail, and overall fit for the role.

Benefits & conditions

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
