Job description
Youâll take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of a team of five, including Project Managers, a Junior Project Manager and Project Administrators.
This is a hands-on leadership role where youâll provide direction, support and oversight across multiple project streams, ensuring campaigns are delivered on time, within budget and to a consistently high standard.
Youâll also act as a key link between senior management, clients and internal departments, helping your team overcome challenges while continually looking for ways to improve how projects are delivered.
What Youâll Be Doing
- Lead, coach and develop a team of five project professionals.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, costs, resources and delivery standards.
- Ensure workloads are effectively allocated and priorities are clear.
- Support and develop Project Managers, identifying future leaders within the team.
- Act as an escalation point for project risks, challenges and delivery issues.
- Attend client meetings and strategic project delivery sessions.
- Work closely with Data, Fulfilment and Production teams.
- Monitor team performance and KPIs, providing clear feedback and direction.
- Maintain high standards of reporting, quality assurance and ISO compliance.
- Identify process improvements and use root cause analysis to reduce errors and improve efficiency.
Requirements
Youâll be an organised and confident leader with experience overseeing complex, multi-stream projects and supporting a project delivery team., * Project management experience within a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience leading, coaching or developing a team.
- An understanding of Agile, PRINCE2 or APM methodologies - qualifications would be advantageous.
- Strong commercial awareness, including budgets, costs and risk management.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Confidence communicating with clients and senior stakeholders.
- Experience monitoring performance and working with KPIs.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
Experience within marketing communications, promotional campaigns, events or a similar project-led environment would be particularly valuable.
