Job description
The first position is a Senior IT Project Manager responsible for managing technology projects across both Agile and Waterfall environments.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should also have Business Analysis capabilities, but the primary responsibility is Project Management. We are not looking for a BA who has moved into Project Management.
The additional BA capability would provide flexibility for future needs, including the ability to support or backfill BA responsibilities involving requirements gathering, user story creation, and working with business stakeholders.
A software development/technical background is preferred over a purely functional background. The individual will not be responsible for coding, but the ability to understand development work and identify obvious errors or inconsistencies would be a nice-to-have.
4 Core Skills
- Senior IT Project Management + Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience + 10?15 years preferred + Proven ownership of complex IT projects
- Agile & Waterfall Delivery + Hands-on experience managing projects using both methodologies + Strong understanding of software development lifecycles
- Technical / Software Development Background + Experience working closely with software development teams + Strong understanding of technical dependencies and SDLC + Coding is not required
- Project & Stakeholder Leadership + Ability to manage business, IT, engineering, vendors, timelines, risks, and issues + Strong judgment and ability to operate independently + Comfortable handling situations beyond the immediate project scope
2 Nice-to-Have Skills
- Business Analysis + Requirements gathering + User story creation + Process definition + Translating business requirements for development teams
- Development / Code Awareness + Ability to understand development work + Ability to identify obvious errors or inconsistencies in code
Ideal Candidate
A seasoned Senior IT Project Manager who brings strong technical understanding, Agile and Waterfall experience, and enough Business Analysis capability to step into requirements-oriented activities when needed.
The candidate should demonstrate the maturity and experience to anticipate issues, navigate ambiguity, and make decisions beyond the formal project plan.
