Data Business Analysts play a crucial role in bridging the gap between complex data systems and business objectives. This opportunity could involve translating data requirements into actionable insights, ensuring data pipelines align with organisational goals, and driving quality standards across analytics initiatives., * Gathering and documenting data requirements from business stakeholders, translating business needs into technical specifications

• Analysing data pipelines and quality frameworks to identify gaps, risks and improvement opportunities
• Collaborating with engineering and data teams to align pipeline design with business outcomes
• Conducting data quality assessments and recommending remediation strategies
• Engaging stakeholders across the business to understand data dependencies, validate assumptions and communicate findings
• Creating clear requirement documentation, process flows (BPMN) and data models (UML) to guide delivery
• Supporting the definition and adoption of data quality standards and governance practices
• Participating in requirements validation and sign-off to ensure solutions meet business needs, * Clear visibility into end-to-end data initiatives and the ability to influence data strategy

• Proven experience in data requirements gathering and analysis
• Strong understanding of data pipelines, data quality principles and pipeline alignment
• Experience engaging stakeholders to gather, validate and communicate data needs
• Familiarity with data modelling concepts and requirements documentation techniques
• Proficiency in SQL and Excel for data analysis and exploration
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams with minimal oversight

Nice-to-have

• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Knowledge of business process modelling (BPMN) and data architecture patterns
• Exposure to data pipeline tools, ETL frameworks or data quality platforms
• Understanding of microservices and distributed systems concepts
• Familiarity with Power BI or similar analytics platforms
• Experience in SAP environments (S/4HANA, ECC or RISE)
